Barb, Mark, Erin, Amanda , grandchildren and friends
We are sorry to hear of Francis’s passing . It has been quite obvious the love and joy experienced with each new addition to your family and how proud you are of each one. Francis was always good to our family, especially when tragedy hit back in the 1980’s. He hopped a plane and was on the Cape Shore in no time, offering a helping hand , driving around with myself and five boys, keeping them entertained, whilst the adults tended to the logistics of the situation. He was quite entertaining as he was just as rough and tumble as them. Mom often spoke of how much she appreciated every kind gesture. Francis was always a child at heart, a torment, as some would say!! Francis always kept in contact with his roots on the Cape Shore. Since mom’s health has deteriorated I know he’s been in constant contact with Aunt Madonna. Mom would be profoundly saddened to know of Francis’s passing. Please know that you are all in our thoughts and prayers at this difficult time. Keep the memories you have close to your heart and cherish each other , especially your mom, Barb, as she continues on this journey of life.
Love from us all
Yvette Coffey and family

Barb, children, and grand-children, family and friends it is with profound sadness to hear of Francis passing .
He was such a' torment 'from school days right up to our last chat few years ago.
Andy and I drove to Alberta awhile back and of course during our stay in McMurray wanted to go to Mass prior to departing for home.
Gordon went to church with us as he was working there at the time, he said' you will definitely see someone from home in here today.'
Sure enough Francis and Barb were attending to their Church duties.
After Mass outside I said Francis 'do you know me', off course knew nothing until I got a good flick behind the ear!
He said you know I know you , we had a great laugh and took some nice pictures.
When he came home always good to run into him .He talked so proudly of his children.
He appeared so rough but yet a big soft teddy underneath.
May you cherish all the good memories and love that you shared.
RIP Francis and don't do too much 'tormenting'.
God Bless.
Agnes and Andy.

To Barb and family: It's been many years since our paths crossed, but reading Frances obituary brings back many fond memories of growing up in Patrick's Cove with Frances as a true friend--from our school days to our many hunting and salmon fishing trips or just sitting around the camp talking about how many birds we were going to get the next day-- but our numbers never seemed to match. We had many all night poker games with Frances always coming out at the end with a buck or two. Those were the days. Rest easy bud--until we meet again. Johnny McGrath (Wilhelmina)

Deepest Condolences to Barb and all Francis's family and friends . May your cherished memories always keep Francis close to your hearts . We always enjoyed a short chat with Francis after church when would see him, always so pleasant and he had a great laugh . I remember asking him after he retired one day , if he was going to travel he said , "no fishing" . Well now we sure hope the fish are biting in heaven. Another great Newfoundlander called home too soon. Rest In Peace

From the minute I met Frank it felt like I knew him my entire life! Joking and carrying on as if we had been in each others lives forever! He was always so upbeat, and certainly had the great gift of gab! One of my favourite people hands down!! My heart goes out to his family. Rest easy Frank.
