Obituary of Jeanette Gail Kendell

It is with great sadness and broken hearts, that we the late family of Gail Kendell announces her peaceful passing at the Northern Lights Regional Health Center, in Fort McMurray, Alberta on Wednesday, December 30th, 2020, in the presence of her loving family after a courageous battle with cancer at the age of 47 years. Born in Port aux Basque NL, Gail was the daughter of Sheila M. (nee Anderson) Legge and the late Henry T. Legge. She was also predeceased by her father in law John H. Kendell and a wide circle of aunts, uncles and loved ones.
She leaves to mourn with many fond and precious memories her loving and devoted Husband David John Kendell of 31 years. A loving mother and grandmother, she will be sadly missed by her children; Kayla (Corey) Cornish and Alexis (Justin) Legge. Grandchild; Madison Cornish all of Fort McMurray, AB. Gail will also be fondly remembered by her brother, Tony (Darlene) Legge of Port aux Basque NL, sister Jane (John) Porter of Toronto ON, brother Kenny (Lisa) Legge of Fort McMurray AB. Gail will also be missed by her two nephews Travis and Joshua Legge, nieces Amber (Bella) and Emily Legge and great-nephew Jaxson Anderson. She also leaves to mourn her special mother- in-law Christina Kendell, as well as a large number of cousins and lifelong friends.
Gail’s family would like to send a big thanks to the staff at the Northern Lights Regional Health Center for all their care and support over the last 9 months. In keeping with Gail’s wishes cremation has taken place.
Funeral arrangements were in the care of Robert Anderson Funeral Services Inc, in Fort McMurray, Alberta.
