Ruth and Family , Fred , Elwin , and extended family, So sorry to hear of Clarence’s passing . He was a wonderful friend when he he lived here in Labrador city , back in the early 70s . Got to work a little alongside him while doing a few projects in our church . Being involved with the music department myself , he was so very helpful in assisting us . He definitely was pleasant to be around , and always loved to have a good laugh , with his practical jokes . So thankful that he let Fred come and stay with him for a while too , because had he not , I don’t know where I would be today . In short , Fred came and picked me up for church , with the youth group , when I came here , as a teenager , not taking no for an answer , when I was hoping to finally be able to get away from church . I never ever met him before that day . Got to meet all the youth that day . Thanks Clarence , and thanks Fred . You are ALL in our thoughts and prayers . See you in the rapture Clarence . Ruth, Shawn, Byron and family,
We wish we could be there today with you to celebrate the life of our friend, Clar. Those who knew Clar, knew his heart - his faith and his family. His kind and gentle heart touched so many people through the years - especially ours. The many memories of board meetings, church, Bible studies, meals together, the many many laughs, the conversations and the many years of friendship will not be forgotten.
Today, Clar has a new body, a bigger smile and complete healing. We are grateful for salvation and the hope we have in Christ for a heavenly reunion. Til then, you will continue in our thoughts and prayers.
Love, Jim and Ruby McKay

Ruth, Shawn and Donna, Byron and Leanne, and family,
What do you say about a legend like Clar? There’s not enough words to describe his kindness, his patience, his sense of humour, his ability to show God’s love to a house full of teenagers who maybe just woke him up and still have a sense of humour to laugh lots with us. I still remember the Sunday in church I nicknamed him and his little comb over “Spock”. He never missed a beat! He chuckled, fixed his comb over and told me to go sit and listen to the pastor. Years later, comb over long gone, he hugged me, laughed and told me again to go listen to the pastor!
He made a big impact in my life and I won’t ever forget him!
Sending hugs, love and prayers your way,
Melita and Kevin

Aunt Ruth ,Shawn, Byron and family. I’m so saddened to hear Uncle Clarence has passed away. My most recent Memories are when you both came home for several months the winter 2007 to help when Mom was so sick . Ruth you and Uncle Clarence were such a Blessing to Dad at this difficult time. Then just last year I was able to talk a little to Uncle Clarence on the phone It was so good to hear his voice. Even though distance has separated us as family you all have always had special place in my heart. Praying for God’s Comfort at this difficult time and wishing I could be there. Love you all Cynthia.

Ruby and I express our sincere condolences to Ruth, Shawn, Byron, and family. We are deeply saddened by the loss that you and your family have experienced. We have known each other for years and we were married around the same time.
The obituary stated it correctly; Clarence was always "a man of integrity, commitment, and passion". He has made such an outstanding contribution to every congregation blessed to have him and his family. A good heart has stopped beating but a good soul ascended to heaven.
Clarence will be missed.

It is with sadness I hear of his passing, however, if ever there was a gentleman who demonstrated true Christian character Clarence was one!!
It was a pleasure serving him at the warehouse in Syncrude, never a negative remark only a quiet smile. As a Born Again Christian I am sure he is in the presence of his loving Lord and Saviour and I look forward to joining him someday.
My wife Betty and I send our sincere condolences to his wife and family.
