Kelly Kelly was like an uncle to me. I was honoured to have been able to call him Uncle Kelly. It was always a pleasure to see him. He gave the best hugs and always made me smile. He will be missed by so many but his memory will forever live on. Give Auntie a hug and kiss and shine down on us. Please pass on a hug to my brother for us too. I am so sorry to hear that Kelly passed away. We worked together for many years. Kelly was very good at playing music. He always played the bugle at our remberance ceremonies. I will always remember his smile and him joking around when we were doing training. Kelly was one of the good guys. I will remember him fondly. RIP

Saddened to hear about Kelly's passing. We were recruits together in 1981 with FMFD. Kelly had a weird sense of humor and always made me laugh. He was a good guy who I really enjoyed working with on the ambulance. He was always respectful to me.
My condolences to his family.

Condolences to the Kelly family, I met Kelly in 2000 when I joined 2494. He ended up being my Fire Capt for many years and because of him I had a greater value of the Fire trade. He was quite knowledgeable and an ambassador of Fire, he will be missed.

Heartfelt condolences to Kelly’s family. I first met Kelly while doing hose lay competitions back in the day. He was an ambassador of the fire service and always spoke highly of his hometown and fire department.Kelly was the catalyst that brought my family to Fort McMurray back in 2002. Kelly was a leader and mentor on “C” platoon, he was quick witted and always wore a smile. I only ever saw Kelly somewhat angry once, that was when I got his bed wet one night after midnight during a water fight at #1 station. He wasn’t angry long, and before you knew it we were making light of the situation.
I miss those days and carry many fond memories from that time in my life. Rest In Peace Platoon Chief Kelly I will cherish the memories of our time together!

I’ve worked at the Northern lights hospital since 2005. Kelly has been a constant visitor to the hospital over those years, as a fire fighter and a patient. In fact either way he became part of our day or night shift. I can see his face now sat in the corner of the waiting room, just waiting to be called by the nurse. Kelly Kelly my thoughts and prayers for you and your family. ❤️ R.I.P. My friend
