Obituary of Jyotsana (Judy) Singh

It is with great sadness that the family of Jyotsana (Judy) Singh announces her passing on May 28, 2022. She is survived by her father, Beant Singh, uncle, Bhagwant (Joanna), their children Minnie, Sonia and Dave; aunt Jackie, cousin Shama (Les); aunt Salina, cousin Priya and many family members abroad. Born in Grand Prairie, Alberta on March 6, 1973, to Beant and Shireen Singh she was long-awaited and no child was more cherished. Surrounded by aunts, uncles and cousins, she grew up with much love and laughter. Her sense of humour and laughter were a wonderful part of every gathering. They moved to Edmonton, and then Fort McMurray in 1978. Judy graduated from Fort McMurray Composite High School before attending the U of A education program. Unfortunately, Judy began suffering several health issues which resulted in having to take time off from her studies. She worked at several schools and local businesses before a series of strokes would offer her another setback. She never gave up on her dream to be an educator, working with young children like her mother, whom she adored. She was so loved and will be greatly missed by her friends and family. She is not suffering anymore. She is with her Mother and in God’s arms now.
