Just came across this. My condolences to Jim's family. I will always be grateful to Jim for his kindness and patience in guiding me through a difficult period in dealing with a tax situation. He will be missed. Jim, may you rest in peace.

I was taken aback; and I offer belatedly my
heartfelt condolences to Jim's family.
I was quite young when I lived in Ft. Murray and also a divorced mother of a toddler. Jim was very helpful to me with his expertise and sage advice.
Dunning family!!! I am a well-known Chef in town, and Jim has done taxes for my wife’s family for more than 20 years. I remember he asked if I could bake, and I made him Caribbean bread. May your soul rest in eternal peace.
Dearest Betty & family I have so many reasons to be greatful to Jim .. so many times he made me laugh so many times he gave me great advice about life taxes & just being thre as my friend ... I am sorry we didn't keep in touch all these years past Betty. Jim was an amazing person. I have so many stories but here is one that stands out: many years ago Jim & Betty came to visit me in Arizona, and Jim offered to cook dinner so off to the grocery store where he pick all kinds of stuff ...I was perplexed what is he going to cook? but back to my kitchen we go and Jim starts ...there he was in the kitchen cooking away no shirt cause it was so hot even with the air-conditioning going 3 hours later the BEST Borscht I have ever tasted we shared some with my nabours who thought I had a professional chef visiting. What an awesome time ... I will so miss you Jim thankyou for being the kindest blessed man that you were. Maggie

There are so many memories built over so very many years of our shared time in Ft. McMurray. Activities with the Cosmopolitan Club where he flipped pancakes with Terry for walkathons and the Blueberry Festival to help raise money for Fort McMurray ball diamonds and playgrounds. Celebrating the birth of our daughters..as we each had two at pretty much the same time, so we learned to be parents by sharing ideas. A fantastic cruise to Alaska and a little white water rafting while we were there. Many chats about taxes and insurance because Jim definitely knew those topics inside and out. One thing we would say about Jim is that he was the real deal..he was authentic and for sure one of a kind. We were very shocked to hear of his passing and he will definitely be missed and thought about in the years to come. Some day Jim, we will all meet again.
