Obituary of Brandon Ryan Sokoloski

It is with our deepest sorrow that we announce the sudden passing of Brandon Ryan Sokoloski. Age 25, our beloved Son, Brother, Daddy, Partner, family member and special friend.

Born in Peace River, AB, September 28, 1993. Passed away in Fort McMurray March 21, 2019.

Those who knew our Brandon, truly lost a shining light.

He will be missed everyday by his Dad, Dan, his Mommy, Carrie, brothers, Brett and Kalen, Daughter Sophia, Son Lincoln, and life partner Becky.  He will also be missed by his good friend and previous partner Brooke, by his Grandpa Allan, and his Grandma Sharon, as well as numerous Aunts, Uncles, cousins and friends.

We take some comfort knowing that he is in the arms of his Grandma Sandi and Grandpa Ozzie.

Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, March 30, 2019 from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. (service at 1:30 p.m.) at The Quality Inn and Suites, 424 Gregoire Dr, Fort McMurray, Alberta. Coffee, tea, juice and light lunch provided.

Don't grieve for me, for now I'm free; I'm following the path God laid for me

I took His hand when I heard Him call; I turned my back and left it all.

I could not stay another day,  to laugh, to love, to work, or play.

Tasks undone must stay that way. I've found that peace at the close of the day.

If parting has left a void, then fill it with remembered joy.

A friendship shared, a laugh, a kiss, Ah, yes, these things I too will miss.

Be not burdened with times of sorrow; I wish for you the sunshine of tomorrow.

My life's been full, I savored much; Good friends, good times, a loved one's touch.

Perhaps my time seemed all too brief; Don't lengthen it now with undue grief.

Lift up your heart and share with me --God wanted me now, God set me free.
