Billy Joe, opened so many doors for me, I looked him up this morning to find this post of his passing. Not only a friend he had been a healer and guiding light for me in my career, my negatives times and life in success. Billy Joe was a funny ma, always giving and had the business ethic to a golden path. It was my pleasure, to have been part of his life for so many years. I miss you now my friend and saddened I we will never be able to sit, smoke and and talk together again in this life time. Billy was a beacon of light, I will never forget you my friend. A giant of a human being who was forthright, compassionate, loving and caring. His smile was as wide as the horizon and his laugh could be heard from a distant. We remember with joy being generously welcomed into the home of Billy-Joe and Geraldene and the love and care that bought them together.

I am recalling the many happy times here in Australia with you and Geraldene - your beautiful wedding in Perth, my daughters playing music for you and plaiting your hair, you loving the ocean, the ceremonies, all of it. I first met Billy Joe while working in Fort Chipewyan, in the early 1970's. We soon became good friends, when he became ill with tuberculosis, I convinced him to seek treatment in Edmonton. While recovering, he made me a beautiful leather wallet, I have always treasured our friendship. Now that Bill has completed his journey down the river of life, I know he will be entertain the Angels in heaven. Rest in peace my friend. Hank Inglis

What can I say about pops, his mind, his humor, his quick wittiness, his wisdom always remained extremely sharp. It was an absolute honor spending these past few weeks with him and the entire family.
