Sending my condolences to Gary’s family at this time. I worked at Suncor for many years and had the pleasure of working at time with Gary. One of the good guys from way back. He was always very helpful to me when I was an operator as well as a supervisor and very much respected in the workforce.

I had a brief time in my career to work with Gary on L2 shift. I was sad to hear of his passing as I always respected him. He was helpful to me as a young supervisor and always lent a hand helping to people along the way. My condolences to the family on your loss.

Growing up in small town Deer Lake, where families were big and everyone knew one another, losing a family member affects many people in the one community. I am deeply saddened by this news of Gary's passing . I heard good things about Gary all the time but the first time I heard Gary I figured he was a small man with a quiet voice . Then the day came he sat in front of me on the bus with his dark glasses bandana black leather jacket . I believed for a while he was a hells angel . Lol the thing is you just needed to talk with him to know his true self . He was selfless and respected by coworkers he will be deeply missed
