Obituary of Andrew Raymond Evasiuk
Please share a memory of Andrew to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
It is with tremendous sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Andrew Raymond Evasiuk at the age of 65 on March 3rd, 2024, in Fort McMurray, Alberta.
He is deeply missed by his wife, Linda and two daughters, Andrea (Chris) and Amanda (Zachary). He is also greatly missed by the two family dogs Trooper and Scout, who considered him to be their favorite buddy.
Andrew or known to many as Andy, was born in Dauphin Manitoba to Sophie and Metro Evasiuk on June 25th, 1958. He was the second youngest of 10 siblings. Andy married Linda in 1978. They moved to Fort McMurray shortly after and have continued to call it home ever since.
Andy worked in the oilfield most of his life. He became an insulator and worked his way up to project manager before retiring in 2021. He was known to be quiet, but he also loved to crack the typical dad jokes daily. He was the ultimate handyman and a true superhero to his girls. One little known fact is that Andy and Linda both won “Citizen of the Day” in Fort McMurray in 1994. Not only did Andy live for his family, but he always exuded that caring nature to friends, neighbors, and his community.
A celebration of life is being planned. Details to follow.
