Mrs. Venessa Lush, was a quiet, reserved individual who would not solicit assistance from anyone; and if she did, it was with reluctance. Mrs. Lush was most proud of her family, whom she cherished and loved immensely with unwavering support.
Debbie and I met Mrs. Lush (and Mr.Lush) in the early 1980’s, shortly after we became friends with Nadene. From that first introduction to present time, Mrs. Lush welcomed us into her home unconditionally and some ways, became our Fort McMurray Mom.
On more than one occasion, Debbie would seek her advice for baking and/or cooking tips; and trust me when I say her culinary skills were exceptional; especially her homemade bread, right Jim!
Throughout the years, we had the privilege to join the Lush Family on many of their celebrations and special occasions; and Mrs. Lush always embraced us and reassured our presence was met with a heartfelt welcome!
In more recent years, we would pick up Tim Horton’s coffee and muffins; and drive to Mr and Mrs. Lush’s home, where we would engage in casual conversation over coffee.
Throughout our years in Fort McMurray and to this very day, Mrs. Lush, will forever remain in our hearts and memories!
Nadene, Luanne, and the entire Lush Family, please accept Debbie’s and My sincere condolences for the lost your Mom and Loved One! May you find strength in each other as you move forward during this sad and difficult time; and take comfort in knowing that your Mom, Dad, and Jamie, are once again reunited.
