Obituary of Beant Singh

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Beant Singh on August 31st, 2024, in Fort McMurray, Alberta, at the age of 87 years after a treacherous health journey.

Beant was born in Sargodha, India on July 28th, 1937, to his parents Kartar Singh and Kartar Kuar.

He had a deep relationship with his Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ. He is now resting in His arms, free from any tribulations and no longer suffering.

His love for the Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ, was only ever matched by the love he had for his family. Beant was a committed Husband and Father. There was nothing he would not do for his family.

Beant lost his wife, the love of his life, Shireen, in 2017 and never fully recovered. In May of 2022, his daughter Jyotsana, also known as Judy, passed away suddenly; this was another devestating loss. He mourned his wife and daughter and looked forward to the day they would meet again. Beant also lost his brother on August 13th, 2024, just a few short weeks before he passed.

Beant is now reunited with his wife, his daughter and other family members that had gone before him in Heaven.

A funeral service will be held on Friday, September 13th, 2024, at Robert Anderson Funeral Services Inc. at 10:00am with Rev. Robert Parmenter officiating.

A burial will follow the service at the Highview Cemetery in Abasand to lay Beant and his daughter to rest with Shireen.
