Obituary of Thomas Irvin Higdon

Thomas Irvin (Irv) Higdon, 86, of Fort McMurray, Alberta passed peacefully in his sleep July 22, 2019.

Irv married Helen Elliott, the love of his life, August 29, 1959. Together they raised 4 boys in Fort McMurray when they moved in 1969 for Irv to work at GCOS (Suncor). 

Irv is survived by wife, Helen, sons Tom, Doug, Brad ( Deb), and Gus (Jodi), 9 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren, brother, Mel and sisters Margaret and Bunny.

He was predeceased by his parents Augustus and Dorothy, brothers Doug and Bobby and sister Helen Rowe.

Irv will be remembered as an honest, hardworking, kindhearted gentleman with a wonderful sense of humour. He loved the outdoors sharing his passion for camping, hunting, fishing and golf with his family. 

Special thanks to the staff of the Continuing Care Unit for the loving care Irv received over the last four years.
