Obituary of Magdalen May Perrier

It is with heavy hearts, and our lives forever changed we announce the passing of our wonderful Mom, Magdalen May Perrier, age 81 years of Fort McMurray, Alberta, who died Monday, January 27, 2020. Magdalen was born on January 14, 1939, in Flat Bay, Newfoundland to James White and Frances (Pike) White. Magdalen (aka Maggie May) leaves behind her six devastated babies, her reason for living, her children; Laverne (Bruce) Cormier, Viola (John) Young, Jocelyn Morris (Robert Kennedy), Ruth Perrier, Floyd Perrier, Florence Hawkins (Rick LeCointre), sister Mercedes in Ottawa, fifteen grandchildren; Melissa (Wesley) Lynch, Michelle (Peter) Daley, Ian (Savannah) Young, Amy (Adam) Durdle, Matthew Spicer, John Spicer, Leslie Perrier (girlfriend Rebecca Bouzane), Stephen Perrier (Nikki Worth) Daphne (Casey) King, Lawrence Hawkins (her Dude) (Miranda King), Michael Perrier (Tylesia Meunier), Nicole Snyder (Mike Helmkay), Stephenie Snyder (Matt MacFarlane), Madison Nippard and Mason Nippard, nineteen Great grandchildren; Malcolm (her big man), Talia (her little Laverne), Kiefer (her little duckie), Harrison (her little man), Cabela, Aiden, Seth, Dominic, Brayden (her 1st great grandchild), Ryder, Aubree, Cody, Jacob, Emma, Katie-Elizabeth, Charlee, Addison, Hunter & Remington (her little man). Two godchildren; Aden White & Lisa Perrier, her in-laws; Hubert Bennett, Loretta Bennett, Vincent Perrier, Anita Legge, Billy Perrier, Reg (Betty) Perrier, Geraldine Alexander (David) & Odelle Young. She also leaves a large circle of family and friends. Magdalen was preceded in death by her husband of 33 years, Ambrose Perrier on January 8th, 1993, her Mom Frances (1978), her father James (1985), five siblings, Senith Lasaga (2004), Lloyd White (1963), Donnie White (1946), Thaddeus (Ted)White (2012) & Esther Bennett (2018), her father in law Ralph Perrier (1979) & her mother in law, Evelyn Perrier (1985). The family would like to thank the following for the excellent care they took of our Mom; Homecare staff (especially Rosanna), Rotary House Staff, Dr Ibach & Dr Rivzi, the wonderful nurses including Mariah, Andrea, Mariah & Maureen, Fr Augustine and Robert Anderson Funeral Home. A celebration of life will take place at St. John the Baptist RC church on Hospital Street in Fort McMurray on Saturday, February 15th at 10 a.m. Cremation will take place and burial will be in Flat Bay, Newfoundland later this summer, in July.
