Obituary of Hilda Lepine

Hilda passed away peacefully on the morning of March 10th, 2020 after a gradual decline in health. She was surrounded and supported by her loving family during the remaining moments of her life. Hilda was born in Ft Chipewyan and was raised on her fathers trapline in Jackfish Creek WBNP. After 10 years of surviving Holy Angels Residential School, she attended high school in Gruard. She then began her career in of ice administration and started a family. She raised her two children in Ft Chip, Edmonton and Ft. McMurray where she retired from a rewarding career from ATC as the Indian Residential School support worker. She lived in Fort McMurray for the remainder of her life close to her family and friends. Hilda is survived by her children Dale and Melody (Gary), grandchildren Nathaniel, Tatiana, Dre and Trent. Great granddaughter Natea, her sisters Lena, Rosie, Margo, and numerous nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her parents Magloire and Maria Vermillion, brother Basil and sisters Katy and Janet. Her Celebration of Life will be held on March 18 at 2 pm in Ft Chipewyan AB. The family wishes to express their sincere appreciation to all those who have supported us during this time of loss. When tomorrow starts without me, And I'm not here to see, If the sun should rise and find your eyes, filled with tears for me. I wish so much you wouldn't cry, the way you did today, While thinking of the many things, we didn't get to say. I know how much you love me, as much as I love you, And each time you think of me, I know you'll miss me too. But when tomorrow starts without me, don't think we're far apart, for every time you think of me, I'm right there in your heart.
