Nancy, Anita, and Cheryl, I'm so sorry for your loss. What a sudden and heartbreaking thing.
I didn't know Marie well but of course, I remember her being in her element at the cabin at Crane Lake, relaxing and enjoying herself and enjoying spending time with all of you and your families. She will be missed. May she rest in peace and may the happy memories of times like Crane Lake bring you some comfort.

Nancy, Anita, and Cheryl:
I am so sorry to hear of Marie’s passing. I worked with her in Medical Records and found her to be a great coworker. We shared the same wedding anniversary date, March 29th, and I remember Norris sending her roses on their special day. Her love and pride in her husband and family always shone through in her conversations at work. She helped me also at times when I needed her JP Services and absolutely refused to take payment for it. I truly appreciated her as a special person.
May memories of her continue to shape your perspectives and those of her grandchildren and great grandchildren. May her best attributes live on in you and in them. My sincere condolences to you all. God bless you.

One fond memory I have of Marie is when we went to Edmonton on the Shopping Trips. She helped organize the trip but she also organized dinner theatre for any of the group that wanted to go and to thank her, we always told the staff at the theatre that it was her birthday. (Not True) LOL Being the sport that she was, she went up on stage and participated (as the birthday girls/guys do) and always threatened to get us back. She never did, what a teddy bear she was for sure. She will be greatly missed. May you rest high on that mountain in heaven. Jackie Parmenter

I remember Marie as our receptionist in the XRay department at the hospital. She always had this special contagious laugh. She had a strong determination and knew how to get things done. Bring a union rep she made sure her members were informed of events and encouraged them to speak up for their rights. Her husband, Norris, and her girls were her life. She talked about them often and had pride in her voice. I especially remember her excitement telling us about the adopted baby grandson who was joining their family. Marie was the NLRHC social club leader and had a way of being able to squeeze in some extra spaces for Christmas events. She loved her getaways at their cabin with her husband and family. One thing that I noticed was the necklaces and rings she wore all the time. They obviously all had special meaning for her. One other memory was the phone in our CT room in DI. For the front desk registration phone # we had Marie’s name put in. Her name stayed there for over a year after she had gone.; just seemed to belong.Several times after Marie’s retirement she dropped by and showed us her beautiful pictures from her travels, especially in NL. She was a wonderful lady who enjoyed life and was always busy doing things and helping others. May she be at peace in heaven. My thoughts and prayers are going out to her family. May she rest peacefully in heaven.

I was sad to learn of Marie's death. I've been in the lab at FMH for 19 years. I remember seeing her in my daily routine. But the thing I remember the most- she planned the November shopping trip every year until retirement. I think of her fondly whenever I reminisce about those times. My thoughts and prayers are with the family Jean Jefferies

Although I didn't know Marie well from work, I got to know her and Anita when we played golf for ladies night! We had such a fun time at Quarry ridge, laughing and getting together after for prizes, especially the "jorge" prize. Some of you would know what I mean. wink, wink. Condolences to all her family. She will be sadly missed.

I had the opportunity to get to know Marie while working at NLCHC. She was always so positive and always had a smile on her face. We participated in many activities within our Social Club which Marie took extreme pride in running and organizing various events. My fondest memory has to be our Christmas shopping weekend to Edmonton. It started off with one party bus and one quiet bus. By the first hour into the trip we definitely had 2 party buses and Marie was so funny. I will miss her and my condolences to her family at this difficult time. With my deepest sympathy, Heather Young
