Obituary of Marie Anne Guiochet

With profound sorrow and much love, we mourn the passing of Marie Anne Guiochet of Fort McMurray, Alberta, on Sunday, April 18, 2021, at the age of 73. Marie was born on May 16, 1947, in Bonnyville, AB. She received her LPN nursing diploma in 1971. Marie and her husband moved to Fort McMurray in 1974. Marie began her career working at the Northern Lights Regional Health Centre, Fort McMurray, in medical records in 1980, where she worked for 30 years. It was here that she met many treasured friends. Marie loved travelling and spent her later years going to many exciting destinations. Marie was an avid photographer, and her friends and family have admired her images. She was a proud and loving grandma and great-grandma. Marie leaves to mourn her daughters, Nancy Parker (Mark Baker), Anita Gibson and Cheryl Guiochet, along with her grandchildren: Nadine, Robert, Kyle, Kristopher, and Benjamin, and great-grandchildren: Natalia and Cade. Marie also leaves behind numerous beloved family and friends. She will be greatly missed. Marie was predeceased by her cherished husband of 37 years, Norris Guiochet, and her parents, Annie & Nick Kozak. A Celebration of Life will be held at Robert Anderson Funeral Services (115-190 MacAlpine Crescent) on Sunday, May 2, 2021, at 11:00 am. A viewing will take place on Saturday, May 1, 2021, from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM. Marie's family graciously asks for donations in her memory to the Canadian Diabetes Association.
