My most profound and best moment I remember with Norm..he was living on the top level in Abasand and invited me to watch a meteor shower on the deck. He was so sweet and accommodating. We had those infinity chairs and he brought me a blanket because I shivered. He was the most kind, selfless individual I’ve ever met. It was an amazing night that I’ll never forget. My love & deepest condolences go especially to his children & anyone else who had the pleasure of knowing him. You will be missed Norm. Rest easy, we love you!

Well I have lots of memories with my dad but one time he came up stairs with a Fudgsicle and it made me really want one, I asked him if there was any left. The guy went downstairs grabbed another one and started eating both of them in front of me of course being a character like he is. Then he tells me “yup this is the last one” but there is other ice cream down there. He’s like these are my fudgsicles! And he’s smart for eating them both in front of me cause I would’ve eaten them! But other then goofy memories my dad loved me so much and did everything for me anything I asked for. We weren’t just father and son he also treated me like a best friend too his bestest friend in the whole world.

A few summers ago Kaydon and I had went to the Syncrude Athletic Park to watch a baseball game. Norm was sitting on the bleachers and looked over at me. I had my electric scooter and he said “let me ride that and I’ll give ya $10 bucks.” I was gonna let him ride it anyway because on the way to the game we had been talking about how it would be pretty funny to see him zoom off on the scooter. So of course I said “sure!” When he got back he gave me a ten dollar bill; I said “are you sure?” His response will forever make me laugh aloud, “Yes that’s chump change to me!” I laughed so hard. I’ll always remember that moment.

Norm and myself became friends in grade 7 thru the abasand crew back in the day, and all though it was a good while since we seen each other, it never changed much in this paticular moment. I drove by the bus stop at the mall downtown in a vehicle loaded up with people in grade 11, the light ahead was red and I looked over to Norm yelling out to me 'SHAWN!'......
myself: NORM!
Norm: I heard your dating missy!
Myself: yeah dude!
Norm: I MADE OUT WITH HER ON FRIDAY
Myself: ..........uh huh? What?
Norm: yeah man! I Didn't know, then he laughs.
Myself: (looking around the car with no room left) GET IN!
So norm runs across the street full of vechiles and jumps into a packed car of teenagers. I was like...Missy?
Norm: yes man! We went for a smoke outside this party on friday and she started kissing me. Then she pulled away and said i shouldn't have done that i'm seeing Shawn.
Norm: 'I'm telling him'
Myself: laughing as I'm hearing all this.
And that's exactly what he did, not three days later. (cell phones were hardly a thing back then) So I dropped norm off at his place in abasand and when he got out he looked at me and said shawn "you should dump that chick haha". Which is exactly what i did lol (sorry missy)
Point of the story Norm was solid to the core and he kept straight with me always! Later in life he tried to warn me about another female I was with but I chose not to believe him and boy oh boy, do I ever wish I remembered that moment we were in my car back then because as it turned out, he was right. 18 years later and he was still trying to look out for me. That sums up Norm in my books. Solid A.F! Godspeed to Valhalla my friend, Maynard

No words can express the loss our family is feeling right now. He lived with us for awhile and always was doing something around the house to help us out. He was great with the grandchildren and was a big help to my husband Eric. We will miss him dearly. RIP Norm I hope you are there with Marc.

I still can't believe it...but I'm thankful to of known you Norm. Anytime I'd run into you, you'd have that big grin on your face and it always followed up with a hug. Not many memories in Grade 9 and 10 that you weren't apart of. Sending your children and family all the love during this sad time. You were a great soul and you'll never be forgotten.
