Obituary of Norman Kenneth Lineham

Please share a memory of Norman to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

Norman Kenneth Lineham, aged 43 years, of Fort McMurray, AB. passed away suddenly on September 21st, 2023. Born on December 12th, 1979, to his loving parents, Deborah Sweetland and Kenneth Linehan. Norman was a remarkable individual whose life was filled with love, laughter and an unwavering spirit that left an unforgettable mark on everyone he met.

Norman’s devotion to his children, Taylor, Kaydon and Rylan, was unparalleled. He cherished them with all his heart and made sure that their happiness was his top priority. His love for them shone brightly, and he made sure everyone around him knew it.

Norman was known for his infectious smile, which could brighten the darkest of days. He was the life of the party, always initiating dance-offs and, to no one’s surprise, emerging as the undefeated champion. He had a talent for turning nothing in something, and he brought joy into every aspect of his life.

An original member of the Fort McMurray Hard Cores (FMHC), Norman was infamous for his shenanigans and his ability to peak everyone’s spirits. His one-man air band performances were legendary, and his energy was boundless.

In addition to being a fun-loving spirit, Norman had a practical side too. Whenever you would "cry cry from your eye eye", he would get the boo boo lip. No matter the size of the mess, he was always our bounty, like the “quicker picker upper”. He was the go-to person for those in need, ready to bring order to chaos and a smile to everyone’s face.

Norman Kenneth Lineham is survived by his beloved three children: Taylor, Kaydon and Rylan; his two siblings: Wanda and Corey; his mother, Deborah Froese (Jim); and his grandmother, Mary Linehan. He is predeceased by his father, Kenneth Linehan, and his grandparents: Francis Linehan, and Jeanette and Norman Sweetland.

Norman will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him. He leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and unforgettable memories. In our hearts, his spirit will continue to dance and bring smiles for generations to come.
