Leon you fought a brave fight. You fought so hard and overcame so many obstacles that many would never have even tired. Always a smile on your face and a joke for everyone you met as you never wanted anyone to know the struggle. We all knew why you fought - for your girls. Anyone could see that. Your love for your three girls was so clear. You and Janice were so close, soulmates. Soulmates never leave each other, even when apart. The song "Dancing in the Sky" brings my heart a small piece of understanding of trying to understand. Go sing and dance while you watch over your family. Please send them many signs that you are with them. We miss you. I miss your voice. Love Mishell and Randy

My sweet brother Leon ❤️
Growing up I always looked up to you, I was always so proud of everything you done, still to today I look up to you so much for how strong of a person you were. you helped guide me through life and for that I’m always grateful, always offering advice. your big smile and your heart of gold always shined through. you would always want everyone else to have everything and to be ok.always wanting to lend a helping hand to everyone. You fought the hardest battle with courage strength and determination on your hardest days you still smiled and laughed.you were the strongest person I knew. I will miss your jokes, your funny impressions which always made me laugh but I’ll just miss you. your three girls were your world, the love you had for them was just beautiful, you stayed strong for them. I know you will continue to guide them through life. we will love and miss you dearly. Until we meet again brother, please continue to look out for us all.
Forever in my heart!!
Kayla

Leon was an inspiration to us all! Kind, caring, loving, strong and determined are only a few words to describe the wonderful person he was. He had a way to make people smile and laugh all the time, putting everyone before himself. Loved Janice, Lilah and Charlotte unconditionally. He was a great electrician who always had a project to do especially when he would vist NL. Mom would always need something done and Dad would say wait for Leon. We spent many late nights together when Janice would go to bed and he would say "want to watch a movie girl?" He called me so many times and we had so many discussions when he first started dating Janice about Christmas and birthday gifts for her, as she was so hard to shop for! We had many laughs around the table playing cards with Leon, just him laughing at Dad, made us laugh, then he would always add a joke on top of it and we would laugh again. No one loved moms cooking and a good feed of fish or Sunday dinner more then Leon. So many great memories to even mention them all. Life will not be the same without you. We miss you dearly and we know that you are at peace, flying high with the angels! RIP Leon xo

I am so sorry for your family’s loss.
I am honoured to have met Leon and his beautiful wife Janice in his last few weeks in the hospital where I was a student nurse for him. They were such lovely people with the biggest love for each other. I could see how much love Leon held for Janice it was truly a blessing. Janice was such a big part of his care and was the greatest supporter, she never gave up on him. Hearing about his passing has saddened my heart for his wife, kids, family and friends. Leon seemed to be an incredible human who accomplished many great things in his days on earth. Leon was a fighter and he fought until the end, I know he will always protect his wife and family with all that he has!
