Obituary of Kevin Lawrence Caines
It is with heavy hearts that the family of the late Kevin Lawrence Caines announce his peaceful passing on March 11, 2024, at the Northern Lights Regional Health Centre, Fort McMurray, AB. at the age of 71 years.
Kevin was predeceased by his parents, John and Alberta (Holly) Caines. Siblings: Tommy, John and Joan; brother-in-law: Calvin, and sisters-in-law: Joslyn and Peggy.
Kevin leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories, his wife of 50 years, Brenda; three sons: Adam, Wesley, and Kirk (Tessa); and two beautiful grandchildren, Felicity and Jackson. Siblings: Wayne (Karen); Jim (Laura); Joselyn (Kevin); Debbie (John); Dianne (Douglas); Annette (Ralph); Randy (Ruth); and a loving, supportive circle of family and friends, including his church community.
Kevin was a loving father, and devoted husband and grandfather. He loved to laugh, and enjoyed life to the fullest. Kevin spent his earlier years as a pastor in Parkside, Saskatchewan, where he shared his love of the lord with a small, loving church community. The later years of Kevin’s career were spent as a heavy equipment operator at Suncor in Fort McMurray, where he had many work friends and buddies.
Kevin’s family would like to extend a special thank you to the doctors, nurses, and staff of the Northern Lights Regional Health Centre for their devoted care and kindness during Kevin’s time there.
Words cannot adequately express the depth of our sorrow. He will be forever missed. Go rest high on that mountain, Kevin.
You are invited to join Kevin’s family for refreshments and fellowship in the main foyer following the service.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Canadian Liver Foundation or The Kidney Foundation of Canada.
