Obituary of Lorin "Lo" Patrick Romain
It is with great sadness that the family announce the passing of Lorin “Lo” Patrick Romain, taken too soon from this world. Lorin passed peacefully in his 57th year at the Northern Lights Regional Health Centre in Ft. McMurray, Alberta, surrounded by his cousins Chris, Tim, and Karen. He is now reunited with his wife Tammy Gratto.
Lorin is predeceased by his parents Darwin & Glenna Romain, and sister Lorraine. He is survived by his siblings: Darren, Barry, Esther, Richard, and Donald; his uncles: Jim, and Wayne; nieces: Dale and Krista; nephews: Garry and Sarah; his stepchildren: Jordan, Eric and Brian, and his step-grandchildren: Elizabeth and Dominic.
Born in Merritt, B.C., Lorin spent his life living coast-to-coast in Canada, eventually settling in Edmonton, where he lived with his wife and soulmate, Tammy, who passed February 3, 2024. Besides loving his wife, Lorin loved music and was an accomplished guitarist and singer in bands that saw him open for Streetheart and playing on stage with Terry Jacks. Lorin and his cousins Chris and Kevin played music together wherever and whenever they could as a band, along with their good friend Gary Kimpinski.
Lorin will be greatly missed by those who loved him, including his many cousins from the Romain, Leroux, Moir and Coutts families. He will be missed by many co-workers from Oil City Express, where he worked since 2015.
A special thank you to Terri Donnelly who faithfully visited Lorin when his family couldn’t be there with him. Arrangements for cremation have been entrusted to Robert Anderson Funeral Services Inc. of Ft. McMurray.
