I am thankful for even the small amount of time I was able to spend time with Bert in the home he loved, in the city he loved and in Jeanne's company. It was such a joy to see Bert come alive at the sight of archival photos taken along the Athabasca River during a summer when I was spending extended time in Ft McMurray. I extend my heartfelt condolences to the entire Golosky clan even while nothing can ever fill the space that Bert filled. In gratitude for Bert's life and for his family who have always made me feel welcome. May his soul rest in peace.

My sincerest sympathy for the death of Bert Golosky. I do not know if I have the right family however there are names in the obituary that I recognize. I taught with Jeanne at Turcotte elementary school and I had a girl in my grade 4 religion class I NEVER FORGOby the name of Janet Golosky. So I am guessing that this is the right family. I was simply thinking of you today and so I looked you up and I found this obituary. Hoe timely!I want you to know that I have so often thought of this family and my time i spent teaching in Fort McMurray. I particularly have kept in my heart Janet all these years. We will miss Bert and his wonderful stories about the history of Fort McMurray. He was truly one of the nicest people we have met and a stellar example of a gentleman. He always enjoyed seeing Adele and Sophia at Church on Sunday and we are very glad that the girls got to know him. They called him Grandpa Bert!
We are sure that you are enjoying the rivers in Heaven! Until we meet again.
